As a licensed physician and board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Ryan Green’s established practice has been serving the community of Abilene since 2012. He is a Diplomate of The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and holds additional certifications such as Adult and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Dr. Ryan Green is a native of Bryan, Texas, where he attended Texas A&M University and received a Bachelor degree in Biomedical Science. After his undergraduate experience he attended The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he received both a Medical Degree and a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Dr. Green completed an internship in General Surgery and a six-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with extensive hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training.

During his education, Dr. Green has been involved in research and has held national officer positions in the American Dental Student Research Association. Dr. Green received an American Association of Dental Research Fellowships twice and has been honored as an American Association of Dental Research Hatton Award finalist. During his residency, Dr. Green’s extensive training included Level 1 trauma facial reconstruction, specialized bone grafting techniques and complex orthognathic reconstructive surgery.

Early in his education, Dr. Green attended a medical mission trip to Zambia, Africa. It was there that his passion developed for surgery and helping people medically. Throughout his undergrad college years, Dr. Green worked for a professional mountain climbing outfitter in Colorado and has a great passion for the outdoors, nature and wildlife. Outside the operating room, Dr. Green enjoys hunting, shooting skeet, fitness, and hiking. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children and they all enjoy traveling. Dr. Green feels honored and humbled to be doing a profession he loves that allows him help people every day.

Dr. Green is a Diplomate of The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Diplomate of The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Green’s clinical interests include: removal of wisdom teeth, dental implants, bone grafting for implants, orthognathic reconstructive surgery, pathology and facial reconstructive surgery following trauma.
